Following the court’s cancellation of the arrest warrant, South Korea’s impeached President Yoon will be freed from jail

According to reports, a judge has ordered South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol’s release from jail. The Seoul Central District Court issued the decision, and Yoon’s legal counsel declared that South Korea’s rule of law is still alive. Yoon is anticipated to be released immediately and attend his trial while out of custody. His attorneys claimed that the warrant issued on January 19 was illegal owing to procedurally faulty demands. Yoon imposed martial law on December 3, but was impeached by the opposition-controlled parliament on grounds of breaking constitutional duties.
