Six members including senior vice president of Janmat Party Abdul Khan have resigned collectively. Party vice president Khan, central spokesperson Dr. Sharad Singh Yadav, central coordinator Kumar Yadav, CK Singh, senior province in-charge (Far West Province) Rajaram Chaudhary and central member Bikram Bahadur Bam have resigned collectively, saying their demand for a leadership change was not met.
They had demanded the voluntary resignation of party president Dr. Chandrakant Raut and organization department head Dr. Jayakant Raut within 24 hours on Wednesday. Spokesperson Yadav informed that they have resigned collectively without even being an ordinary member of the party after their demand was not met.
“Considering the difficult situation of the country, in line with the public sentiment, you have disregarded the resignation letter we demanded from the party’s main leadership, including an ultimatum for a change in leadership, and insulted the blood shed by Genji, and instead made your views public through your official Facebook page in a language that is arrogant towards leaders and cadres,” the resignation letter states. “Based on that, we resign from the party from today, not even as an ordinary member.”
