If Europe wants to fight, we are ready: Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia does not want war with Europe, but if Europe wants it, we are ready. Putin is scheduled to meet with Steve Witkoff, the US special envoy on ending the war in Ukraine. Earlier, he was speaking at an investment forum. When he finished his speech, he left without answering any questions, but on the way, he spoke to reporters gathered in the Trade Center lobby.

Asked about Europe’s involvement in peace talks with Ukraine, Putin accused Europe of not having a peaceful agenda. Putin said that European countries were obstructing US efforts to resolve Russia’s conflict with Ukraine.

Russia said it would not accept Europe’s demands to end the war. “We will not fight Europe, but if Europe wants to fight us, we are ready now,” he said.
