UML recommends candidates for all 10 constituencies in Kathmandu

The Nepal Communist Party (UML) has recommended names of candidates for all 10 constituencies in Kathmandu for the upcoming House of Representatives elections. UML Kathmandu District Chairman Deepak Niraula informed that names of aspiring candidates have been recommended for all 10 constituencies in Kathmandu district. Chairman Niraula said that the district committee, along with the names received from the election regional committee, has recommended names of candidates to the provincial committee in the capital.

The UML has already instructed the district committee to send names to the provincial committee for the election by December 24. UML Kathmandu has recommended more than one candidate in all constituencies except constituencies 2 and 8. Maniraj Phuyal has been recommended in constituency 2 and Rajesh Shakya in constituency 8.

According to Niraula, if Ishwor Pokharel wants to make him the candidate in Kathmandu constituency 5, he can be nominated and if he does not want, others can be nominated as candidates. He said that eight names including Mohan Regmi, Sharmila Karki and Saroj Dhakal have been recommended for Kathmandu constituency no. 1, six names including Rameshwor Phuyal and Krishna Rai for Kathmandu constituency no. 3, and 13 names including Secretary Dr. Rajan Bhattarai for Constituency no. 4.

Similarly, eight names including UML leader Ishwor Pokharel for Kathmandu constituency no. 5, 12 names including central members Aman Kumar Maskey and Prakash Adhikari for Constituency no. 6, 11 names including central vice-chairman Raghuji Pant for Constituency no. 7, 7 names including central members Krishna Gopal Shrestha and Dr. Ajay Kranti Shakya for Constituency no. 9, and 7 names including central member Binod Shrestha for Constituency no. 10 have been recommended as candidates.
