Kathmandu, July 22: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dan Bahadur Karki, returned home today from Thailand after participating in a regional summit on controlling organized crime.
The summit entitled ‘The Regional Summit On Scam Center Compounds and Transnational Organized Crime’, was held in Bangkok, Thailand on July 20 and 21. It was organized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Royal Thai Police.
The central police news desk said that the conference had held extensive discussions on the necessity of global cooperation, information exchange, and effective international coordination for controlling international organized crime, cyber fraud, and cross-border crime.
