The government has granted an Rs 32 crore budget for two drinking water projects in Jhapa, Mechinagar, and Buddhashanti. The Kakdavitta water supply project in Mechinagar municipality and the Timai Shantinagar integrated water supply project in Buddhashanti rural municipality will be completed during a multi-year contract period. The project will be finished within three years after the beginning of the contract procedure, by the end of March 2080/81. Construction of these projects is critical to meeting the need for expanded water delivery facilities in areas with rising population density. Jhapa-1’s Bahundangi, Jamirgarhi, Duhagarhi, Dhulabari, Charali, and Dhaijan regions are where the projects are being done.
