An avalanche happened in Dhukurpokhari of Ngisyang rural municipality in the district, impeding people’s travel. It has been tough to connect the upper and lower Mustangs.

Chief District Officer Subash Kumar Lamichhane stated that, while the avalanche had not stopped the road, it was difficult for people to walk in the upper belt. On Sunday night, enormous amounts of snow fell in the district’s upper belt.

“The arrival of tourists has begun here, but the avalanche has created a risk,” said Dhak Bahadur Bhujel, district chief of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project. Every day, approximately 50 to 60 tourists visit the region and had been warned about the avalanche’s dangers.
