Russia has declared its willingness to transfer the bodies of those killed in the crash of a military Il-76 aircraft in the Belgorod region to Ukraine, local media reported on Friday.
“Yes, we’re prepared.”Everything necessary from a procedural standpoint is in place,” Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova told Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency. She also stated that the bodies can be handed over using existing processes. On January 24, Ukrainian soldiers shot down a Russian military transport aircraft, the Il-76, above Belgorod. The aircraft was transporting 65 Ukrainian captives for exchange. All the detainees, along with three escorting Russian officers and six crew members, perished their lives.
