The National Assembly Speaker, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, has stressed the significance of ingraining democratic values in order to bring about long-term peace, sound governance, progress, and prosperity in Nepal. He applauded the Constitution for its egalitarian tenets, which include full press freedom, periodic elections, federalism, secularism, democratic governance, civil freedoms, and fundamental rights. Timilsina also stressed the necessity of an economy with a socialist orientation that is founded on equality and fairness. He commended the commitment of the Nepali people to democracy as well as the government’s and the people direct participation in governance, development, and service delivery.
