Tom Alweendo, Namibia’s Minister of Mines and Energy, has announced the country’s participation in the upcoming Invest in Africa Mining Indaba in Cape Town, South Africa. Alwendo stressed Namibia’s dedication to sustainable mining techniques and the country’s extensive mineral resources, which include diamonds, gold, copper, zinc, uranium, rare earth elements, and industrial minerals, as significant drivers of economic growth. The event will highlight Namibia’s development of essential raw materials and local value addition, with presentations from leading national institutions such as the Geological Survey of Namibia, Apangelo Mining, Nampower, Chamber of Mines, and the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board.
