Street food event promotes tourism

The Mahottari Hotel and Tourism Business Association is planning a street food festival in Bardiwas to promote local cuisine and tourism. The festival, held on February 5-6, will include distinctive Madhes delicacies at the intersection of East West and BP highways. The 50 food kiosks will offer information about Ghumighumi delicacies, including their health, qualities, and benefits. The event welcomes both domestic and foreign travelers with discounts ranging from 20 to 40% and cultural programs. The Bardiwas Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Hotel and Tourism Business Association, and the Bardiwas City Journalist Network have been organizing a walking campaign to locate tourist attractions. The festival is projected to draw 50,000 attendees and cost Rs. 1.5 million.
