A maternity care facility has been built in Bhojpur, Nepal, at a cost of Rs 10 million. The institution, located in a distant community, has installed vital medical equipment, eliminating the need for residents to travel to the next district. The Nepal Helping Education Foundation and three international organizations provided funding for the seven-room facility. The building will be transferred to government control, and the municipality will oversee the workers. The facility was named after a resident, Subash Tamang, who provided land for the project. The municipality manages the building, which has been named after his mother, Pakturi Maya. The facility has been commended for its well-equipped health services, which have eliminated the need to go to the Sankhuwasabha region.
