The Election Commission of Nepal has advised eligible persons to register their names on the electoral roll before the by-election date is established. The commission has been working with the government to fill vacancies and schedule by-elections. The commission has asked residents who are exempt from registering, as well as those who qualified for local, provincial, and representative assembly seats, to register before the by-election date is published. The commission has been registering voter lists through state and district election offices, as well as offering the option of registering from outside districts.
