Bamdev Gautam, president of the Nepal Communist Party Rashtriya Ekta Abhiyan, has backed the new power coalition created by the CPN (UML), Maoist Centre, National Independent Party, and Janata Samajwadi Party. He asserted that the new power equation affirms the Nepal Communist Party (NCP)’s division in 2077 as a mistake, and that the tendency of seeking power from this power equation will cease. Gautam has not joined any party since the split and is still a member of the National Assembly. The new power coalition is expected to encourage people to participate in the actual political competition.
