Ban on using more than 10 national flags in election campaign

The Election Commission has approved the Election Code of Conduct 2082. Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari informed that the code of conduct was approved at the commission’s meeting held on Sunday.

The code of conduct states that a party or candidate can use only a maximum of ten national flags during a procession, public meeting, corner meeting, door-to-door meeting, meeting or any kind of rally during the election campaign. The code of conduct also prohibits campaigning in the name of any religion during the election.
