The Nepal Christian Federation is celebrating Christmas Day in memory of the birth of Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity. The event, which began as a festival in 2063, has been celebrated by the community for three main days: Love Day, Peace Day, and Salvation Day. The Federation claims that there are 3.5 million Christians in Nepal, and over 15,000 churches have been built across all 13 Christian denominations. The Christmas Festival 2081 was organized by the Federation’s Main Events Committee, with representatives from all political parties and government representatives expected to attend. Christmas trees are being decorated in major cities to attract foreign tourists, particularly in tourist areas like Thamel, Bouddha, Pokhara, and Sauraha. Preparations are underway to celebrate Christmas as the birth of Jesus Christ in these areas.
