Demand to create a medical college in Katari

A memorandum has been submitted to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ calling for the creation of a medical college in Udaipur’s Katari municipality. The government has committed to establishing medical colleges in all seven provinces, with Katari being the best fit. An all-party team, comprising Rajeshchandra Shrestha, feels Katari Municipality is appropriate because of its topography, population, and other districts.
Prime Minister Dahal stated his supportive attitude toward the establishment. MPs from Sindhuli, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, and Solukhumbu all favor the college’s establishment. An all-party medical college founding committee has been constituted, and land studies are currently underway.
