Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has registered his nomination from Gorkha Constituency No. 2 for the upcoming House of Representatives member election. He reached the office of the Returning Officer and registered his nomination this afternoon, informed his personal secretary Rekhi Gurung.

Dr. Bhattarai’s proposer is Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party District Coordinator Narayan Khatri and his supporter is Genji leader Rijan Rana Magar. Dr. Bhattarai, who did not participate in the 2079 BS House of Representatives member election, had won from the same constituency in the 2064 BS and 2074 BS general elections. He was elected from Gorkha Constituency No. 1 in the second Constituent Assembly election of 2070 BS.
