Government is taking usury victims’ issues seriously: PM Dahal

The government has been told by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ that significant efforts will be made to address the issues pertaining to microfinance, cooperatives, and victims of usury. According to him, the government is drafting laws and acts as well as assembling a highly capable commission to deal with these problems. The government and the court will collaborate to find resolutions in some usury-related matters for which the court has not yet rendered a decision. In addition, the administration is trying to push through the Civil Servant Bill, rescue Nepali youths who were enlisted in the Russian military without their will, and hasten the development of the Kathmandu-Tarai Madhes Expressway, Sunkoshi Marin Diversion, and British Gurkhas concerns.
