The Koshi Chief Minister, Hikmat Karki, got a vote of confidence from the province legislature on Monday. According to Clause 5 of Article 168 of the Constitution, Karki, who was chosen Chief Minister, received 57 votes from the Provincial Assembly.
MPs from the UML, Maoist, and United Socialist Parties have expressed confidence. Nobody voted against. The Nepali Congress was missing from the conference, while RPP MPs stayed neutral. The state assembly had 62 MPs out of 93.
