Prime Minister Balendra Shah has dismissed Labor, Employment and Social Security Minister Deepak Kumar Shah. The Prime Minister removed Shah from his post on the recommendation of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
In a letter sent to the Prime Minister by party president Ravi Lamichhane, it is mentioned that the Central Disciplinary Commission has concluded that Minister Shah abused his official position. According to the letter, Shah is accused of playing a role in getting his wife appointed as a member of the Health Insurance Board, which has been inactive for a long time.
The letter states that necessary action has been recommended as this type of action appears to be detrimental to the party’s ideals, principles and dignity. According to Article 25 (4) (a) of the party statute, the president has the responsibility to take action in such a situation and according to Article 69, there is a provision to recall the minister by exercising the “right to recall”.
