Meeting between Prime Minister Dahal and an Indian businessman

While on an official visit to India, a team from the Federation of India Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) had a meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. The meeting’s main topics were investment opportunities in Nepal and investment sectors.

Emphasizing Nepal’s attractiveness to Indian businessmen, Prime Minister Dahal encouraged them to make investments in the country’s tourism, energy, agriculture, and other industries.

During the third investment conference in Kathmandu, he underlined that Nepal has completely reformed the legal system to create a favorable climate for investment. Given the long-term deal with the Indian government to sell 10,000 megawatts of power in ten years, he also recommended investment in Nepal’s energy industry.

Dr. Anis Shah, President of FICCI, expressed enthusiasm for investment in Nepal as well as interest in the country’s solar energy, tourism, and energy sectors.
