Nepalese Communist Party Coordinator and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has filed his candidacy from Rukum East Constituency No. 1. He filed his candidacy today after reaching the office of the Returning Officer for the upcoming House of Representatives election.
Giving a brief response to the media after filing his nomination, Coordinator Dahal said that he would give first priority to the overall development of Rukum, which is the base area of the Maoist armed war. He said, “Rukum is the base area of the people’s war, this time I have come to the election. I will give first priority to the development of Rukum.”
Earlier, Coordinator Dahal had won the House of Representatives from Gorkha Constituency No. 2. So far, candidates from the Rastriya Janamorcha, Mongol National Organization and National Republican Nepal have also filed their nominations in Rukum.
