Nepal was chosen to serve as chairman

The 11th Asia Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development will be chaired by Nepal. In Bangkok, at the UN Economic and Social Council for the Asia and Pacific Region, Dr. Meen Bahadur Shrestha was chosen to serve as Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission. The event will assess how close the region’s nations have come to realizing the global agenda for sustainable development. The Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2, 13, 16, and 17 will be the main topics of discussion. In July 2024, a report on the accomplishments and difficulties encountered in carrying out these objectives will be presented to the UN high-level political forum. Nine states and 53 members make up the Economic and Social Council for Asia and the Pacific contains nine other organizations and 53 member states.
