Today is the scheduled hearing for the contempt case against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for disobeying the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Giribandhu Tea Estate. The complaint was launched by advocate Om Prakash Aryal, who claimed that the Oli-led government had blocked the Supreme Court’s order by enacting a land-related legislation without following the ruling. Aryal has called for Oli’s resignation and nominated him as a defendant along with Land Management Minister Balram Adhikari.
