PM Kristersson claims that Sweden is neither at war nor at peace while the nation places warships in the Baltic Sea

Ulf Kristersson, the prime minister of Sweden, has stated that his nation is neither at peace nor at war as it deploys military forces and vessels into the Baltic Sea for heightened monitoring. The Nordic countries are collaborating to keep an eye on the Baltic Sea after a string of alleged underwater cable sabotage incidents. Sweden will provide up to three warships and a surveillance plane as part of a NATO initiative to keep an eye on Russia’s “shadow fleet” and vital infrastructure. Kristersson further underlined that there must be genuine peace and no major international disputes.
