PM Netanyahu heads to Washington with the intention of strengthening the relationship with US President Trump

To strengthen relations with Washington, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to leave Israel on February 1, 2025, to meet with US President Donald Trump. The meeting comes after the Gaza conflict caused problems with the previous White House administration. Netanyahu, the first foreign leader to meet Trump since his inauguration, thinks that a tight partnership with Trump may improve the Middle East. Due to claims of war crimes in Gaza, the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest order for him.
