Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and enlightenment, has been respected by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who declared that this day will drive off the darkness of ignorance and evil.
“Today is Basanta Panchami, also Shree Panchami,” Prime Minister Oli writes in a message of well wishes on social media for the celebration of Basanta Panchami and Saraswati Puja. On this day, children are introduced to the alphabet and enrolled in school. Additionally, the celebration heralds the arrival of spring.
