The Sauraha South Asian Film Festival’ has started at Sauraha in Chitwan. Organized by Caravan Nepal, the five-day long festival has started today at the Chitrasari playground in Ward No. 7 of Ratnanagar municipality.
The five-day festival aims to promote the development of Nepali films and tourism in Chitwan. Bimal Poudel, president and film director of Caravan Nepal, said that the festival was organized to support the development of tourism in Nepal, including Chitwan, through Nepali movies and films.
In the festival, there are 60 rooms with various food, clothing, etc., along with the film development board. Organizers expect five thousand spectators to watch the festival daily. There will be daily cultural programs. Awards will be given in cinema, documentary and short film categories at the festival.
