Sunsari, Sept 30: Speaker Dol Parasad Aryal has shared that there should be no delay in transforming skill into employment. Inaugurating the Skill and Employment Fair in Itahari today, Speaker Aryal expressed the view that the foundation of country’s economy would be strong only from employment. He emphasized that the youths should be developed as skilled, productive and employment creators, not only jobseekers. There is a situation where youths have to go for overseas employment due to lack of adequate coordination between the demand of internal labour market and skill of available human resources, he underlined. The fair was inaugurated under the chairmanship of Minister for Youths, Labour and Employment, Ramji Yadav. Cultural performances—Tharu dance and Naumati musical instrument were presented in the programme. Special panel discussion titled ‘Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Entrepreneur SAARC Dialogue’ would be held with an objective of attracting youths towards entrepreneurship. The main goal of the fair is to establish direct contact of employers and training providers by identifying youths skill. The five-day practical training would be run in 10 different thematic areas from October 1-5. —
