Smart inventions can harm the earth’s natural beauty. Ang Temba Sherpa, international model, tourism entrepreneur

Ang Temba Sherpa You born in a middle-class family in a mountainous district Solukhumbu, now you are famous at the international level. What is the secret of success? Your hard work, luck or ability?
What do you call success and failure? The standard of success and failure is created by man himself. Its definition may also differ from person to person. As you have asked here, my friends in the media call me a successful person, an inspiring personality. media takes interviews, but when I talk about myself, I have said that whatever you do, be happy with it, that is success. whatever I do, I do it confidently. Nature has given all living things on earth enough resources to eat and live, but still people are struggling to feed themselves. When it comes to Nepal, there are four seasons. Various types of food are grown in all four seasons. If you work hard, you will not be sad to eat in Nepal. As far as your question is concerned, what is the secret of success? Hard work, luck or ability? I would say that the number one is struggle, honesty and hard work. Without struggle, honesty and hard work, no one can succeed in their work. It may seem like success for a few days by being dishonest, but it will not l long last . If you work honestly, sooner or later you will get success.

Many people are honest and work hard continuously, but they have not been able to reach the goal ,then they say that luck was not with them, real reason luck was not with them or because they lacked ability?
People often comparison success and wealth with high level people, but it’s important to recognize that we are all human beings, with two types of humans: men and women. Work is essential for success. I avoiding smart inventions. Because smart inventions can harm the earth’s natural beauty. In my opining all people are equal and work is like playing a game After birth one should die only after doing good deeds. Health is the key to wealth, and if we’re not healthy now, we wouldn’t have reached our current status. Some people do wrong thing to make money but it is the wrong way . It’s essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle to maintain happiness and success. Comparing ourselves to others can lead to unhappiness, so it’s crucial to focus on oneself and not be influenced by others.

You are also an international model. How was it possible to reach this level?
The position I am in now is due to my hard work and honesty.

You were honest but Didn’t the company itself come looking for you ? That must be a long process, right?
First, you need to understand the process of becoming a model. From the outside, my body is covered in scars. my hand is broken. While climbing the mountain, an avalanche severed my finger. I fell into an avalanche and broke my head. My leg was broken, but by the grace of God, my body was unharmed. I managed to survive. As far as how I became a model, I did a lot of work on it and after being successful in those tasks, I got this opportunity. I didn’t become an international model all at once. As far as how the model was created, I put a lot of work into it and after being successful in that work, I got this opportunity as a result. I didn’t become an international model all at once. To become a world-famous model, you have to be a world-famous person. I was already world-famous before I became a model. Before the opportunity to become a model came, I had already climbed mountains on all seven continents, including Nepal. I had already succeeded in international ocean swimming competitions. I had already succeeded in rock climbing. I had already won a competition to flying into the sky, which led to this opportunity. Another thing is, what kind of model do you want to be? A spice model or a beer model? Is it a helicopter or a dress? You don’t become a model just by showing your face and showing off your waist. They do international advertising to star in international advertisements. And they select people who fit the reputation of that company. To go internationally, one must have an international reputation. In my time, there were competitors from all seven continents of the world, and I was selected from them. They selected me based on my reputation, honesty, and work. While competing, I went to Mumbai, and from there, I won the India and other models and went to Geneva. I also won in Geneva. I am fortunate that I am a Sherpa from the Himalayan region. It is also said that Sherpas are honest. Now I have no problem going anywhere in all seven continents of the world. That is why I call the earth my home. I have traveled both the earth upside down and upside down. That’s why I say honesty is the greatest of all. Honesty is my asset. It is also the basis of progress.

you say honesty is my asset, the basis of progress, but most honest people seem unable to move forward?
The world trusts Sherpas because they are honest. We Sherpas basically guide people in mountain climbing. The world trusts us.

The world knows Sherpas, Sherpas introduced Nepal to the world, but Nepal does not know Sherpas, is it not right to say?
The Sherpas are not a caste that lives in one place. Indeed, all people move from one place to another for their livestock. Animals, birds, and reptiles also move in many directions for food. People do not stay in one place for more than three generations. People are a nomadic caste, they move around. One generation dies, another is born, there is no empty space. The population of Sherpas is above 2.25 million. They are scattered across all seven continents They also call me a world traveler, but I love Nepal and the mountains of Nepal, the land of Nepal. That’s why I live usually in Nepal .

You are also a person who introduced paragliding to Nepal. How did this idea come about?
Specifically, I told you that I am also a hang gliding and paragliding pilot. Since I am from this area, I first came up with the idea of paragliding in Pokhara 28/29 years ago. At that time, the local and government bodies, the Civil Aviation Authority, put me in a difficult situation. But we established it anyway. A friend of mine from London, another friend named Niru Tamang, and a Russian friend tried to do it together. As far as the idea is concerned, I tried to do this after obtaining a hang gliding and paragliding license from Europe. Its aim was to attract more tourists to Nepal.but now, unfortunately, the Civil Aviation Authority has stopped hang gliding and paragliding in Sarangkot.

Do you have your own helicopter company? How is it running?
I am a member of the AVA Club Airlines. I have six or seven ultralight aircraft and ultralight helicopters. My friend and brother have helicopters and airlines, and I also fly in them.

Did you climb Everest as a child? What was your experience climbing Everest like?
Many people ask this question, but I went with my father when I was 12/13 years old. When it comes to climbing mountains, I have helped foreigners climb all the mountains in Nepal. Not just Nepal, I have climbed many mountains in all seven continents. Our job is to climb mountains. The mountaineers have a name. We climb them. After we carry them and reach the peak, they hoist the flag. The name of the one who to hoist the flag comes, but not ours. That is why we call Sherpas honest.

How many people have you climbed to the summit so far?
Thousands of people have climbed. This is more from companies than individuals. A mountain climber, whether a native or a foreigner, cannot climb a mountain without a Sherpa. The Sherpa, including the base camp, first basecamp , and second base camp, feeds, helps with defecation, urination, and clothing After that, they take the flag and go to the peak. When they climb the peak, they say that they went alone and hoisted the flag, and then they say that they have established the great work. That’s why we laugh.

How does it feel to climb the world’s highest peaks and help others climb them?
We, who are involved in the trekking profession, consider it our honor to help others climb them rather than climbing them ourselves. We take those who want to climb the mountains and bring them safely to their doorsteps. While climbing the mountains, we keep in touch with their families and guardians not only from the airport and base camp but also from the mountain peaks. There are women and men among the climbers. They are from home and abroad. They are of different ages. We take everyone to the mountain peaks with honesty. Now I gave up mountain climbing because of age. It is best climb the mountains until forty, otherwise it is a bit more risky. I climbed when I was a child, now more young people climb, but I am an expert in mountain climbing. Many years ago, I also did a diploma in mountain climbing from Europe.

Climbing mountains is not an easy task, but why do people climb them?
Those who climb mountains voluntarily. For them, climbing mountains is a desire and heroic work . But for those who climb mountains, as a poter for them climbing mountains is both courage and a compulsion. They also have to run a family. After climbing a mountain once, they earn two to four lakhs. In recent times, climbing mountains is also linked to business. Commercial and business companies also climb mountains for advertising. If you ask me about myself, of in fact ,I have spent many years of my life climbing mountains, but at this age, I say, I should not climb mountains. Climbing mountains does not do anything. Only the mountains become polluted. Mountains are not for climebing . It is to see mountains. What gets from climbing mountains? Four thousand people reach the base camp of Everest every year to climb Everest. What other benefit is there than polluting the mountains by defecating and urinating? Some of the corpses are also there. In the past the environment of the Himalayas was clean, but now the environment of the Himalayas has become polluted. Not only in Nepal, but also around the world Himalayas.

You are also the brand ambassador of the environmental protection campaign of New Zealand, Holland, and England, right?
Yes, I was offered to model in an advertisement for a carbon credit company called Rara Cow in New Zealand, Holland, and England. My desire was also to engage in the environmental protection campaign. That is why I became its brand ambassador. I am also a person who thinks that tree planting should be promoted, so I am walking with it because the carbon credit company called Rara Cow in New Zealand also has the same objective. Humans need oxygen to survive. I am on a campaign to increase oxygen by increasing greenery.

In the past, you climbed mountains, modeled, and did many other businesses, but now in recent years you have been in the agricultural tourism campaign. you say farmer are the most honest person in the world, how did this idea come ?
Whether it is a factory or a rocket plane, everything is a means of increasing pollution. If you say that you have reached the moon, it will pollute not only the earth but also the moon. As far as agri-tourism is concerned. People have to eat to survive. It is the farmers who produce food. Farmers do their work without harming the earth’s environment. Apart from them, no matter what doctors and lawyers say, these are frauds. More emphasis should be placed on organic production in agriculture. One aspect of agri-tourism is this, the other aspect is that in the meantime, I have traveled to all the districts of Nepal. Nature has given us different climates from the Himalayas to the Terai. It has given us different seasons. Different crops can be grown in these different terrains, seasons and climates. But now the cultivated lands are barren. If such fertile lands are not left fallow, if we plant native crops there, not only will we be able to eat them, but also sell them. If only one or two people say this, many will not listen. I have launched a campaign so that many will listen. How lucky we are ,that all five elements, sour, sweet, and bitter, can be grown on our land. The sky and the earth have given us together. My grandfather is the richest man in the village. He has 12 brothers, sons, and daughters. 12 brothers have separate houses. Even if my grandfather did not come to Kathmandu, he managed. He lived in the indigenous way. He lived a happy life.

To live a happy life, money is needed, right?
People are trying to earn a lot of money, but money is also an artificial thing. Money cannot be eaten, it is only what farmers produce. It is not just about making bombs and planes. They cannot be eaten. What is eaten is the product of farmers. That is why I respect farmers.

You also established the National Food Bank Limited, how did this idea come about?
Especially during the Covid epidemic, after seeing people struggling to eat, the idea of opening a National Food Bank came about. But when I said this, it didn’t plant a single garlic plant, what will it do? They did not know that the World Bank also supports this work. If a bank is opened, a lot of work can be done. Agricultural experts can be sent to farmers. Work worth crores of rupees can be done. Currently, studies are being conducted in 77 districts. Work has also been done. If someone lacks money to produce, they can take money from the National Food Bank and invest.

You are equally active in social service, you had also raised a lot of money when you established Maiti Nepal and SOS Pokhara, didn’t you?

To do such social work, you need money. some Nepalese people have both money and heart, but that is not enough. One foreign dollar is worth one hundred and forty in Nepal. The Swiss dollar is worth one hundred and seventy. There are many people abroad who have money and heart. When we tell them that we are doing this work, they help us if they agree our vision and mission. they are also happy to help a place like Nepal. Nepal is lagging behind in development. That’s why when Maiti Nepal established SOS Pokhara, I requested foreigners rather than giving it myself. They believed me and helped for project, if we calculate it today, we would have raised not just crores but billions of rupees. I will go to help not only in Nepal but also in Rwanda, Kashmir, Ladakh, Tibet. As I said above, the whole earth is my home. Home can be anywhere, but my birthplace is Nepal. There are no two places. Animals, birds, and reptiles also love their birthplace. I am a human being. I feel more love for my birthplace because of its natural and physical appearance.

What do you think about the increasing trend of young people going abroad and staying there?
When I travel to different countries of the world, I meet Nepali youth, some of whom are hiding behind the scenes, which makes me sad. You can go abroad to study and learn. You can also stay there because man are not stays in one place ever, but like homeland, we can learn skills by going elsewhere, traveling abroad, and it is better to come back to Nepal and use the knowledge and skills here. When young people go abroad, the land is barren, and if that is the case, the day will come when women will also be barren. This should not be allowed to happen. Similarly, no matter where you go and stay, you should be honest. Now there are young people who go to Europe and America in search of development. America and Europe are a hundred years ahead of us. Nepal is behind in development. But gradually Nepal is also developing on its own. Development also happens with time. Earlier, the man brought cars over the soulder . Now cars come from Europe by driving. I say, rapid development is not good . Gradually development is not good
you are also a judge for Tourism Talent Nepal , right?
Yes, my friend Bijay Kumar Dhakal has been engaged campaign and thiking about Tourism Talent Nepal. I am also looking at how it can be made international, not just in Nepal.

your’s Foreign friends also call you an unknown diamond in Nepal, right?
Yes, my foreign friends also call me ‘you are an unknown diamond in Nepal’.
