The royalist protest, which began at the call of the Joint People’s Movement Committee formed to restore the monarchy, has been fired by police after they tried to move from the designated location.
The police fired tear gas after the royalist group tried to move from Tinkune, which was designated by the local administration for the demonstration, towards New Baneshwor.
The police used dozens of tear gas canisters to stop them from moving forward.
