India has topped the list of countries receiving the highest remittances in 2022, according to the World Migration Report 2024 by The International Organization of Migration. India became the first nation to receive remittances exceeding $100 billion in 2022. Mexico became the world’s second biggest beneficiary of international remittances, receiving over $61.10 billion in 2022. China moved to the third position, receiving $51 billion in remittances in 2022. The Philippines ranked fourth with $38.05 billion, while France ranked fifth with $30.04 billion.
