Padma Prasad Pandey, the newly appointed General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, took an vow of office and secrecy today. The oath of office and secrecy was administered to Pandey at the Federal Parliament Building in Naya Baneshwar by House of Representatives Speaker Devraj Ghimire.
Speaker of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Dhanraj Gurung, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Indira Rana, and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Urmila Aryal all attended the ceremony.
President Ramchandra Paudel appointed Pandey as Secretary General of the Federal Parliament based on the joint suggestion of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and Speaker of the National Assembly.
