At the Everest Trail Race by Tuga, Nepali supremacy persists. In a stage that tested every runner’s physical and technical boundaries, Dal B. Kunwar and Chhokki Sherpa won handily for the third day in a row. In the men’s overall rankings, Spanish players Manuel Vela and Abel Carretero (OTSO) remain in second and third place, respectively. The third stage, from Ringmo to Kharikhola, arrived with a strong warning: a mere 28 kilometers but a cumulative elevation rise of about 5,000 meters. a demanding profile with lengthy descents and harsh hills. Kunwar performed flawlessly once more, leading the way early through the breathtaking woodland trails and reaching the route’s highest point at 4,000 meters by himself. Runners encountered a grueling 2,800-meter downhill from kilometer 7 forward, as well as a very difficult and unstable unwar extended his lead over Abel Carretero to more over 37 minutes after crossing the finish line alone once more.
He now leads the general classification at the halfway point of the race, one hour and nineteen minutes ahead of the Spaniard. Chhokki Sherpa continues to lead the women’s division as well.
