A cultural, tourism, and agricultural fair has been launched to promote the Mundum trekking route, which is included in the government’s 100 must-visit destinations. The festival, which will run until Magh 5, aims to develop the country’s language, customs, and culture as an open cultural museum. The event aims to increase the state’s GDP and attract thousands of citizens and tourists to various trekking routes.
The festival is being held in Chakhewa Bhanjyang, a tourist area of Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality-4, and will feature local dishes, tableaus of various ethnic groups, organic food dishes, and exhibitions. The rural municipality vice-chairman Ramadevi Rai emphasized the development of agriculture and tourism, aiming to promote agricultural products and highlight potential for the region. Rural municipality chair Saroj Basnet emphasized the development of the agriculture and tourism sector, focusing on the Mundum Visit Year 2025 and attracting 100,000 tourists.
