A free screening program has been started by Pradeep Poudel, Nepal’s Minister of Health and Population, to encourage people to avoid non-communicable illnesses. About three-quarters of deaths in Nepal are caused by non-communicable illnesses, and the situation is made worse by urbanization and climate change.
Local health promotion, preventative, and curative services with community involvement are essential, according to Poudel. Through preventative measures, he intends to shield residents from illness and arrange for curative treatments.
Every local health facility will examine adults over 30 as part of the program to prevent and treat non-communicable illnesses by promptly recognizing them. Poudel has asked everyone to work together to lessen the burden of non-communicable illnesses in Nepal and guarantee that everyone has access to health services. The ministry intends to carry out this campaign annually.
