When referring to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi as the president of Mexico at a White House press conference, US President Joe Biden erred. After serving as vice president until 2017, Biden was discovered to have “wilfully retained and disclosed classified materials” pertaining to military and diplomatic policy in Afghanistan, according to a Special Counsel report. In response, Biden said he persuaded him to open the gate, even though at first he did not want to allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza through Egypt.
The US President appeared to have memory gaps, according to the report references. In defense of his acts, Biden said that he is well-meaning and that he has helped the nation recover. Additionally, he stated that special counsel Robert Hur came to the definite decision that he should not be charged in this particular case. Biden has previously misidentified two leaders.
