The government has been questioned by the National Independent Party (NIP) over the removal of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Manoj KC, who detained Bechan Jha in connection with the Bhutanese refugee issue. Within two months, MPs Hari Dhakal and Ganesh Parajuli asked the Home Minister to respond. After the Home Minister made his decision, KC was transferred to the Maharajganj Police Training Institute in less than two months. Instead of KC, DIG Rajan Adhikari was dispatched. The issue that led to the fall of the government because of DIG KC’s transfer has been verified, according to MP Dhakal. MP Parajuli asked the Home Minister to respond from Rostam, questioning if the relocation was an award or a punishment.
